Red River Behavioral Health System is excited to launch our “R & R Education Series” in fall 2017. R & R will provide an opportunity for licensed professionals to obtain valuable information on behavioral health and substance use related topics, earn continuing education credits (CEU’s), and network with other professionals who help serve the growing needs of our community.

RRBHS has become an approved CEU provider for several disciplines and hopes to offer intriguing, informative and fun monthly lunch-and-learn trainings beginning October 2017.

Held the 1st Thursday of each month
12:00-1:00 pm, Complimentary lunch & CEU provided

“Compassion Fatigue” presented by Ken Carlson, Ph.D., Counseling Center Director, The University of North Dakota

Educational Objectives:

  1. Be able to identify risk and challenges of the “Helpers pit”
  2. Understand and articulate the difference between “burnout” and “compassion fatigue”
  3. Identify at least three ways to monitor and mitigate compassion fatigue
